Decision Making is a stand-alone textbook/workbook that has been specifically developed to meet the requirements of Achievement Standard 91408 (3.5), introduced in 2013. The first chapter provides comprehensive coverage of the decision process, types of information, the theory of budgeting and the preparation of cash budgets. Chapter 2 discusses relevant cost concepts and breakeven analysis. The focus throughout is on the use of financial and non-financial information to make decision decisions. The text if fully explained with comprehensive worked examples, interspersed with graduated activities that develop students' skills and confidence as the topic progresses. The final activities are practice exercise that focus on the skills required by the external assessment. Solutions to all of the exercises are provided in the Teachers' Guide, which is an overprinted version of the student edition available for separate purchase.
