Satellites are objects that orbit a planet, and there are thousands orbiting Earth. Satellites can enhance our lives in many ways, from sending TV and internet signals to warning us about volcanic eruptions. The largest satellite can house scientists from around the world, while some satellites are so small, they can fit in your hand. But with more and more satellites being sent into space, we need to be careful the sky doesn't become too crowded.
