Modeling and Stability Analysis of Inverter-Based Resources

Case studies associated with real-world IBR dynamics are included and remarks are drawn from numericacase studies are compared with real world observations. Simulink/Simscape/PSCAD dynamic model examples are provided for replication.Matlab codes are provided for steady-state computing of IBR systems and data-driven IBR modeling.There are four sets of essential techniques in dynamic modeling and analysis covered, including: electromagnetic transient (EMT) test bed building and tuning, ordinary differential equations (ODE)-based model building, stability analysis techniques, and measurement data-based model identification. Various computing techniques, e.g., data fitting and optimization, have also been extensively used in this book
