International Research Management

This collection describes the preconditions, processes, and results of well-managed interdisciplinary research projects from the United States, Canada, Israel, Japan, Brazil, the German Democratic Republic, and Rumania. Based on a 1986 conference at the University of Minnesota, the book is divided into three sections: introductory papers establishing major themes; geographically grouped papers addressing North America, South America, Europe, and Asia; and papers
reviewing the present state of knowledge in interdisciplinary work. Throughout, the work addresses the problems and approaches to successfully managing research projects in government, private firms, and
universities.
