Crime and justice are no longer simply local or national issues; they are global concerns which require careful study and concerted international action. of criminal justice systems on a comparative basis. Drawing on numerous sources from within the United Nations and beyond, it examines emerging developments in crime and justice around the world. The report reveals a great diversity of experiences. Special emphasis is placed on comparing both the different ways countries approach crime problems and the shared perspectives that exist between countries and regions.
