The aim of eye muscle surgery is to restore alignment of the visual axes and ocular stability. Albeit compensatory and largely empirical, this surgery can be perfected with a better understanding of the physiopathological mechanisms involved, more detailed semiological analysis, the taking into account of intraoperative data and the use of microsurgical technique.
