Older entries have been updated and expanded, over 3,000 entries have been completely rewritten, and over 2,000 new entries have been added. All these combine to make the 2006 Benezit Dictionary of Artists even more compelling and useful to a wider audience
than ever before.The 2006 English edition of the Benezit, plus emendations and new articles will be made available online in fall 2011 via the Oxford Art Online portal
