Enhanced by immigration case studies, 18th Century explores the very first migration of people to the Australian continent many thousands of years ago through to immigration in the18th century. The book explains that while the story of the first Australians remains a mystery, scientists are making important discoveries about Australia's early people all the time. It goes on to present the next major wave of migration in 1788, when the First Fleet arrived on the east coast to set up a penal colony.
